So we went to Missouri last week to visit my in-laws. On our way back home Southwest Airlines proved their true worth(lessness) to all. Friday afternoon our flight left two hours late out of MCI, we were supposed to land in Denver and switch flights but they determined the weather was "deteriorating fast" and ended up taking us to New Mexico. We land, they won't let us off the plane and after two hours of sitting there they take off back to Denver AGAIN! Once we land we end up sitting on the tarmack for another one and a half hours "waiting for a free gate". It was 11:30pm by the time we walked off the plane... mind you, our flight back to Salt Lake left at 9:50pm. We go up to the agents and ask what can be done and they say "That sucks for you. We're going home." and they leave.

We ended up sleeping in DIA overnight with our five month old daughter. Plus, we ran out of formula for her so my wife had to take a taxi to Walmart just so our baby girl could eat.... $72 later we finally have a baby who was happy enough to go to sleep for a couple hours. The next morning they put us on the 7:40am flight back home, but the people who de-ice the planes missing part of the tail so we got back in the de-icing line for an hour, then taxied back to the gate because "we used too much fuel waiting for the de-icing again." 10:30am we finally take to the air. What a joke.

Needless to say, we don't plan on travelling via airport for some time after this...
